You There

Ashley is exploring her little world. She is able to sit up now and it teaching herself how to hold herself up on all fours. It is amazing to watch her move her knee under her tummy, and then the other knee. She will then lift her knees off the floor so she is only touching her toes and hands on the ground. She will rock back and forth and is getting up the courage to crawl. Andrew and Allison are eagerly demonstrating how to crawl and can't wait for their little sissy to join in on all the fun. She is such a ray of sunshine in our home. Paul has nicknamed her "You There". It started as a joke, but the name has grown on us, and even the big kids call her that now. Our little You There has taught Allison and Andrew just how fragile and precious babies are. They truly love her and so do we.

Happy 31st birthday to Me!

For my birthday present, Paul's folks took us to Sea World. We made a weekend out of it and stayed in San Diego for a few days. We managed to see everything in the park, ride all the rides and see all the shows. It was not very crowded and we all had a ball.

I remember seeing the Shamu show when I was little. I remember being there with my family and My Aunt Donna, Uncle Rick and all of my cousins. I remember getting soaked by Shamu and Paul and I both wanted to make sure our kids made those special memories, so we sent them down to the glass where they could see Shamu...little did they know what they were in for, when they were blasted with salt water from Shamu's tail.
Ashely Marie spent a majority of her day in my sling, nursing and sleeping. On her awake moments she was happy, cheerful and full of smiles. She is so easy going.
Poor Papa was dragged onto this swirly whirly ride. The kids loved it because they twirled all around, Paul loved it because he actually got his dad on the ride, and Papa loved it once it stopped. We are so blessed to have our parents become apart of these wonderful memories that our kids will cherish forever.
Hanging out in these polar bear caves was hands down Andrew and Allison's favorite part of Sea World. I think they could have played in there all day. They saw killer whales, jumping dolphins, went on roller coasters, and all they cared about was these pretend caves. Just reminds you of how simple their world is.
Even our littlest marine biologist enjoyed watching the fish.

She got Pierced

Before

During

After

Well it was my idea, Paul wasn't a fan, and Allie didn't have a clue what she was about to get herself into. We met my parents at the Cerritos mall and Allie picked out the purple earrings. I'm pretty sure she thought they were going to put them on her ear, not put them through her ear. She sat on my lap and BAM the first ear was done. She screamed. She was angry. Then thankfully the woman piercing her ear was experienced enough to move quickly and BAM the second ear was done. She screamed. She was angry. I'm not sure why Allison is so quick to become so mad. When she hurts herself, when she doesn't get her way, when her feelings get hurt, her first reaction is anger. And getting her ears pierced was no exception. I was actually surprised at how quickly she got over it and was smiling within minutes. I think she recovered so quickly because of all the attention she was getting. My dear sweet Allie-gator never does anything half way. When she is angry, she is ANGRY. When she is happy she is HAPPY. When she is excited, she is EXCITED.  I am so happy to have gotten her ears pierced. It is the first of many firsts that she and I will do together that will bring us closer as mother and daughter. I couldn't imagine my life without my little girl, my spicy meatball, my best friend.

Big Bear Demboski Vacation

We spent three nights in Big Bear all under one roof. The entire family was there and needless to say we had a beautiful time. We spent time boating, fishing, playing on the beach, dipping in the jacuzzi, cooking, laughing and simply enjoying time with family. Some of the best times were not flying around the lake in the boat or barbecuing on the beach, but it was all of the wonderful conversations, laughs and story telling that went on throughout the weekend. I am very blessed to have married in to such a loving family. I pray my children will have close relationships with each other as adults, and they too can enjoy a weekend of family togetherness.

My stunning daughter

In preparation of our trip to Big Bear, I thought it would be fun to put Allie's hair in braids. I thought it would be easier to do this, rather than have to fight her to brush and style her hair while on vacation. She sat and watched TV while I patiently braided and braided and braided. I must say that it took much longer than I thought it would. I really liked the way it came out, and I know I can improve for next time. More importantly, Allie like it, and it suited her perfectly. Isn't she simply gorgeous, stunning and beautiful?
