Happy Halloween

Allison's preschool had a Halloween party and of course Ashley gets to go. Allison's only request this year was to be a witch. I found her costume on craigslist one night at 9pm. I managed to get a hold of the seller and Paul met up with her that night and bought the cutest witch costume ever.
Ashley wore Andrew's old dinosaur costume, but living in Southern California it was a warm day, so Ashley took it upon herself to take off the top portion and of course she can't be topless without holding her nipple. That's my girl!

We were all lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents over to have a Halloween dinner before going trick or treating. Grandma Bug was a good sport and allowed Andrew and Allison paint her face since she didn't have a costume.

It's carving time

Once again it was the night before Halloween and we are just now carving pumpkins, but at least they will be fresh for the trick-or-treaters tomorrow. Andrew was so happy when we let him cut his own pumpkin, but gladly handed back over the knife when he realized how hard it was to saw through the pumpkin. Allison loved to scoop out the mushy seeds and well, Ashley loved to take the seeds that were scooped out and throw them on to the floor. The Jack o'lanterns turned out super cute and the kids are beyond excited to get dressed up tomorrow.

Pa's Pumpkin Patch Tradition

We have gone to Pa's pumpkin patch for 7 years in a row now. It is hard to imagine the first time we went was when Andrew was just 6 weeks old. And now we are bringing our three children to run around and play. I always say every year that we are going to go to Pa's pumpkin patch early in the month and early enough in the evening, so we don't have to be so rushed before bedtime, and each year it never fails, we get there late in the evening,  and just a few day before Halloween. This year was no different, but we made it...

They had a new "ride" this year where they throw your kid in a giant inflatable ball and they can roll around. This was Andrew and Allison's favorite ride. They looked like hamsters in a ball. There was laughter throughout the entire ride.
Ashley loved feeding the animals. This was the first time she has been able to really enjoy this part.
