Allie My Preschooler

Allison has blossomed this past year during her first year in preschool. She is almost complete with her Little Bear year and everything about her is bigger and more confident.

Her school had a dance party where each student picked a song to be put on their school CD, then they played each song and danced. Each student received a copy of the CD, and we now listen to it everyday in the car. Allison's song was Bumblebee by Laurie Berkner

Ashley and I stuck around one day for free play. Ashley had fun dressing up with the big kids.

I just love this picture. They look like they are in sync perfectly with each other.

Kianna is one of Allison's best friends at school. They love to play kitties together.

Ashley is the future of Bayshore Co-op!

His Wild Imagination

After we put the kids to bed, Paul went in the backyard to close the garage door and this is what he discovered. Andrew had taken out Paul's Warhammer terrain, added a bit of Hex Bugs trails and built this huge area for Paul's Space Marines. It looks like Allison added her doll house baby doll crib. I am sure he must have spent well over an hour on this, with Allison at his side of course. I think there were only a few casualties of Paul's guys.

He plays hard even at bedtime. Tonight he built a fort out of his pillows and fell asleep. His mind must be exhausted from all of that imagination working nonstop.

Just Another Day...

Andrew helped Ashley put one of his school shirts on. These two love each other so much, it is plain ridiclous. Andrew is very protective of her and enjoys helping me take care of her.

They love to run around the house chasing each other. Ashley screams and Andrew pretends that Ashley is a monster.
Hearing their laughter and feet pounding on the hard floors is music to my ears.

Allie's 4th BirthdayTea Party

Allison's party before the kids arrived...It was a tea party where all the girls could bring their baby doll. Pretty much Allison's dream party. I bought 16 tea cups and saucers, and 4 tea pots from Goodwill so each girl and boy could drink from the real thing.
We set up a long table where the kids would sip their lemonade and eat their little sandwiches.
We put all of Allison's baby doll clothes up on the bench, so the girls could dress up their babies.

I made a photo collage of Allison and Cold Baby Photos throughout the years. Allison received Cold Baby in 2010 and they have been inseparable ever since.

The kids started to arrive

The boys wore bow ties...

Allison was having a blast!!!!

The only one left eating...my Ashley Marie :)

I'm pretty sure she is the happiest 4 year old in Long Beach at this very moment, and that makes me the happiest mommy.

Making a Cake

Pre-birthday party Prep included making a cake I had no experience making

I found a you tube video with step by step instructions on how to make a barbie doll cake. I thought... why not?

I set up my I-pad so I can watch, pause, play, pause, rewind, play and pause throughout the tutorial.
I was getting excited that it was actually coming along.
It sort of herniated, but I manged to save it.
And this is the final product. I must say I kind of amazed myself! Now off to do EVERYTHING else for the party tomorrow :)

Aquarium Field Trip

Allison's preschool went on a field trip to the aquarium and Ashley got to go, she is obviously very happy to be included. She even wore a Tye-dye preschool shirt, that randomly fits her. She may be the littler sister, but she is just as thick as Allison, and their shirt size does not differ that much.

Allison loved watching the jelly fish and touching the sting rays.

These two are best friends for life.
