Snow Day

The other morning when I got off of work, I went to bed and Paul woke me up around 12:00 Noon and said that we are going to the snow! I thought he was crazy. The next thing I know he is calling my mom and telling her to get ready because we are picking her up and heading to Wrightwood. We quickly packed up some clothes, snacks and the camera and headed to Chino Hills to pick up my mom. We grabbed a quick lunch at Bravo Burger and headed North to the "frozen north" (that is what Oswald calls the mountains). We made great timing and the next thing we knew we were surrounded by snowy grounds. Andrew thought it was the coolest thing ever and the coldest thing he had ever felt. His little hands were red and icy within minutes of playing in the snow. Allison had fun but made it very clear that she didn't want to sit in the snow. Grandma Bug held her most of the time while we played with Andrew. Andrew had a blast making snow Angels and even convinced myself and Paul to lay in the snow and make our own snow angel. Paul was determined to get Andrew to go sledding down the hill, so he took off trying to find a store to by a sled. Of course he was successful and he managed to find one. We had so much fun with Andrew sliding down the hill. Allison even went down too. Andrew had fun pushing us on the sled when we were sitting with Allison on our lap. We all had a great time and played for a couple of hours. We made it safely back to Grandma Bug's house just in time for Papa Bug to come home. We changed the kids into their jammies and ate dinner with Grandma and Papa Bug and headed home. My hubby had a crazy idea but it turned out to be a really great one and I had a blast!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well it has been over a month since I last wrote and that just goes to show how busy we have been. Paul has been working close to 7 days a week in this wonderful Real Estate market and I have been picking up extra shifts to help pay for our vacation to Maui which we will be taking in May. But amongst the huge work load we have managed to have a lot of fun. We have gone to Disneyland quite a few times. Andrew's favorite rides are Small World, Pirates and his #1 is the Tiki Room! He always requests the Tiki Room first, and when we are in the room, he dances from the first drum beat the last. Andrew and Allison were spoiled and went to Disneyland 2 times in one week. The first time was with Grandma and Papa Bug and then again went with Grandma Duck and Papa Razi.
Little Miss Allison is a crawling machine now! She is pulling herself up on furniture and starting to cruise around the coffee table. She is enjoying eating all sorts of table foods, we can pretty much give her what we are eating, with a few exceptions of course. She loves to bounce back and forth when we are dancing and she laughs at Andrew all of the time. The two of them can really entertain each other.
Mr. Andrew is now 2 1/2 and is acting like it! One of his favorite lines that he says is "Andrew do it!" He wants to dance at all times, when the music turns on he is standing up and bouncing his little knees and rockin it! He is doing great with potty training and has only about 2 accidents a week.
Paul and I were able to get out and have a hot date last week. Kelly watched both kids for us by himself along with his little girl Addison. He did a great job and all survived :). Paul and I went to this Italian Jazz restaurant and spent the evening as husband and wife and put our mommy and daddy titles on hold, which was much needed and we had a fantastic time.
Paul's business is doing great. We just went to his awards luncheon for ReMax and he earned the Executive Club for 2009. He was also recognized for his 5th Anniversary at ReMax Real Estate Specialist. Paul is keeping busy with his position on the Board of Directors for the Pacific West Association of Realtors and he is also helping to kick start the Young Professionals Network in the Long Beach area. I am proud of my realtor hubby!
As for me I have started "working out" again. In other words I have started walking about 2-3 mornings a week with my neighbor Trisha. It isn't a lot but it's a start and I look forward to getting a double jogger so that I can start running again. I am trying to get bikini body ready for Maui. So far I am off to a decent start...we'll see :)
Ok off to bed now, hopefully I can write again soon!
