My little girl is FOUR!

It seems we are sticking with the tradition of having chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast on your birthday. It was strange to put 4 candles on the pancake and I must admit that I am sad that she doesn't hold up three fingers anymore when we ask her how old she is. I know 4 is still a baby, in the grand scheme of things, but it is just a reminder that these years are going by so quickly and it is so important to celebrate these special days.

Ashley, Paul and I went to Allison's preschool today. Ashley rode in the bike trailer for the first time, which was super cute! I remember Andrew riding around with Allison in the trailer.

Allison got to go in front of the class to have Ms. Cori place a birthday crown on her while her friends sang happy birthday. Then everyone sang "with flowers and love we sing to you dear birthday child". When the kids sing that song, Allison went around and collected flowers from each of her preschool friends. It is a sweet tradition that I think is very dear that this great preschool does. Allison was so serious during her moment of fame. I knew deep down inside, she really wanted to smile.

 And then she finally smiled!

Once Paul got home from work,  Allison opened her gifts. Andrew made her a home made card. He got her a Dora the Explorer guitar, which she really wanted, only because she saw a commercial...but she loved it and that is all that matters.

We got her a double baby stroller, perfect for her to push both Cold Babies around in. She was thrilled!

Allison's pick for dinner was Joe's Crab Shack. She wanted crab, clams and shrimp. She has enjoyed seafood since her first bite at the age of 2. She has been a fan ever since.

They dressed her up and had her run around the restaurant, which she did with no hesitation. My little girl is growing up!
