A Walk Around the Block

This past week we have been quite busy. We celebrated the 4th of July at my Aunt Pam and Uncle Mike's house for a pool party, then scooted on over to Paul's Aunt Buny and Uncle Doug's house for a BBQ dinner. We made our way home to finish up the night at our neighborhood block party. It was the place to be. The street was full of fireworks, kids on bikes, blow up pools in the front yards, BBQs in the street and even a DJ blasting music on some one's driveway a few doors down. Andrew danced in his jammies in the street "owwing and awwing" at all the huge illegal fireworks. It was a great night, but Andrew didn't get to bed until after 10:00, which made the next day pretty rough.

Last week we also met Kelly, Lindsay, baby Addison and Lindsay's mom at "Airplane park" to enjoy a concert in the park. Andrew had a blast playing at the playground and dancing with daddy. Allison enjoyed some girl time with her best friend Addison. Good time had by all.

We have been having fun with a big inflatable pool that we set up in the backyard. We had Paul's brother Mike come over as well as Scott and Courtney to enjoy our pool. We sipped on pina coladas, listened to Bob Marley and had a BBQ. We were happy when Katie and Mike showed up for a quick visit!

Andrew had a play date with his buddy Logan down the street. We met them at Bayshore and the boys splashed around in the water and played in the sand. At one point Andrew noticed a bird walking along the shore and off he went chasing the bird all the way down the shore. I had to go chasing him yelling "STOP ANDREW!" Andrew kept running and yelling "stop stop stop!" He certainly loves birdies, but I don't think he understands 'stop' just yet.

Allison gets spoiled everyday when Andrew pulls her around the block in his red wagon. He takes great pride in giving his baby sister a ride. It takes us about 20 minutes to go around the block because Andrew pulls her all by himself. Liberty even joins us, which Andrew thinks is pretty funny!
